ER 70S-6 is a mild steel welding wire containing a higher level of manganese and silicon to produce quality welds when used on dirty or rusty steel. The high silicon content increases the fluidity of the weld pool, creating a smoother bead appearance and resulting in minimal post weld grinding. Shielding gas is require with this product. Typically used for construction work, tanks, truck bodies, farm implements, pipes, steel casting or forgings, shaft build-ups and general shop fabrication. Shielding gasses range from straight CO2 to high argon blends.
